Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid BCCNM? We have an immediate need for both full-time and part-time staff.

Must be willing to work a minimum of 6-8 shifts bi-weekly. All necessary PPE will be provided on site.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

As an LPN, your typical day will impact the following areas:

1. Providing nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN. Ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home areas.
2. Ensuring the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and following protocols on all assigned shifts.
3. Creating a comfortable and safe environment that respects privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence, and individual lifestyles and values.
4. Optimizing each resident’s potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
5. Seeking guidance from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
6. Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any change in resident’s status promptly to the RN and taking appropriate action.
7. Fostering an environment conducive to optimal care through collaboration with team members, monitoring resident care, communicating with residents and families, and guiding Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members.
8. Liaising with medical team members, nurse specialists, consultants, and supports to ensure effective clinical care.
9. Continuously assessing own nursing practice and learning needs.
10. Participating in in-service programs, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
11. Documenting priorities, target dates, and strategies on the individualized care plan to achieve optimal outcomes.
12. Working with residents, families, and the interprofessional team to collect data, assess, and document ongoing care needs.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.

• Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
• Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
• Current First Aid with CPR certification.
