Team Member, Sanitation (Afternoon)

The Sanitation Associate plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the organization. This position involves performing sanitation and cleaning duties to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and to contribute to the overall well‑being of employees and customers.

• Sanitation Procedures: Follow established sanitation protocols to clean and disinfect various areas within the facility, including production areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Equipment Cleaning: Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and machinery to maintain a hygienic and safe working environment.
• Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Restocking Supplies: Monitor and restock sanitation supplies, including cleaning agents, detergents, and personal protective equipment.
• Compliance Checks: Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate sanitation activities and address specific cleaning needs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including checklists, cleaning schedules, and inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Training: Participate in training programs to stay informed about sanitation best practices and safety procedures.
• Accountabilities: Hygiene Standards: Accountable for maintaining high levels of cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards within the organization.

• Safety Compliance: Accountable for compliance with safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
• Sanitation Practices: Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices in a manufacturing or food production setting.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other team members and departments.
• Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in sanitation or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
• Training or certifications in sanitation and safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
