Lead Technical Engineer for an Event Ticketing Software Company

We are looking to hire a motivated Lead Technical Engineer who will be the architect of our digital backbone, designing and maintaining resilient systems that power our innovative solutions. This role is a remote full-time position (35 hours per week).

Requirements :

• Must be based in Quebec
• Excellent English & French written and verbal communication skills
• 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, including cloud environments
• 5+ years in web development in NodeJS, React, and TypeScript
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, scalability, and readability
• Expertise in server infrastructure, ideally with experience in Google Cloud Platform; experience with AWS is also acceptable
• Deep understanding of security best practices and implementation
• Fluent and expert in optimizing PostgreSQL
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC); experience with Pulumi is preferred
• Bonus Skills : React Native is a plus

Your Responsibilities :

• Oversee the entire web app and system infrastructure, including database management
• Ensure optimization, performance, and data integrity across all systems
• Maintain and monitor the website's uptime, ensuring smooth and continuous operation
• Take full accountability for all aspects of the infrastructure, including servers, networking, and security
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and systems
• Continuously improve application and infrastructure reliability and efficiency through proactive monitoring and maintenance
• Strong remote and async culture with a focus on async tools and minimum meetings for employee schedule flexibility
• Full Insurance Coverage : Quebec insurance fully paid by the employer
• Vacation : 3 weeks of vacation per year, with flexibility on when to take them, plus an additional week off during Christmas
• Sick Leave : 5 days of sick leave annually
