Role : Responsible for the installation and maintenance of communications hardware and networks in retail environments, including data, POS, and PC systems.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Interpret and manage work orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform site inspections.
- Assemble and set up tools, materials, and equipment.
- Test peripherals, hardware, and software to ensure proper functioning.
- Install network and peripheral hardware (servers, switches, RF, POS, wireless, printers).
- Test, review, and troubleshoot installed systems.
- Travel to customer sites within assigned geographic areas.
- Perform work on day / night shifts.
- Install cable supports and manage cabling (UTP, coaxial, fiber optic).
- Provide work logs and reports.
- Liaise with customers and store staff regarding installations.
