Two positions available in Vancouver, BC. BC Cancer is dedicated to reducing the incidence and mortality of cancer and improving quality of life for those living with cancer. It offers comprehensive cancer control programs across British Columbia, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, research, education, and supportive care. The Vancouver Cancer Centre, the largest within BC Cancer, collaborates closely with BC Cancer Research Centre and Vancouver General Hospital. It features advanced equipment such as linear accelerators, a VERO machine with tumour tracking, and a brachytherapy suite.
The successful candidate will work within a provincial Radiation Therapy program, providing clinical care across 2-3 sites, with specific focus areas including thoracic, gastrointestinal, skin, genitourinary, breast, and head and neck malignancies. Experience in precision radiation therapy is an asset. The role involves participating in research, administrative, and educational activities, with opportunities for academic appointment through UBC.
Qualifications include eligibility for licensure in BC, Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent, and eligibility for a faculty appointment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism initiatives, with knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
