We are seeking a Procurement Consultant with expertise in leading RFX processes, negotiating and closing contracts to join our team and support the maintenance operations of an airline. This role will focus on managing end-to-end sourcing activities, with an emphasis on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and finalization. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage competitive procurement processes and close high-value contracts that deliver cost savings, operational efficiency, and compliance with aviation industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

RFX Management :

1. Develop and execute Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Information (RFI) processes for maintenance-related categories such as parts, equipment, and services.
2. Define clear RFX objectives, including scope, evaluation criteria, and timelines.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to draft detailed specifications, requirements, and statements of work for RFX documents.
4. Manage supplier communication throughout the RFX process, including pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and bid evaluations.

Supplier Evaluation and Selection :

1. Analyze RFX responses, including pricing, terms, quality, and compliance metrics, to identify the most suitable suppliers.
2. Conduct supplier due diligence and risk assessments to ensure alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
3. Present supplier recommendations and selection justifications to senior management and stakeholders.

Contract Negotiation and Closure :

1. Lead negotiations for high-value, complex contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing structures, and performance guarantees.
2. Draft, review, and finalize contracts in collaboration with legal, compliance, and operational teams.
3. Ensure that contracts include clear deliverables, milestones, and penalties for non-compliance or underperformance.
4. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely contract approvals and signatures.

Cost Optimization :

1. Identify opportunities for cost savings through competitive bidding, supplier consolidation, and contract renegotiation.
2. Implement strategies to manage and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across maintenance-related procurement categories.

Compliance and Risk Management :

1. Ensure that all RFX and contracting activities adhere to aviation regulations (e.g., TCAA, FAA, EASA) and internal procurement policies.
2. Mitigate contractual risks by incorporating appropriate clauses for warranties, indemnities, and liabilities.
3. Monitor contract compliance and support dispute resolution when necessary.

Reporting and Analytics :

1. Provide detailed reports on RFX outcomes, savings achieved, and supplier performance metrics.
2. Maintain an updated database of supplier contracts, performance records, and market benchmarks.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2. MBA or a master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.

Experience :

1. 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management, preferably in the aviation sector.
2. Proven experience managing RFP / RFQ / RFI processes and closing high-value contracts.
3. Strong understanding of supplier evaluation methodologies and contracting best practices.

Skills and Competencies :

1. Expertise in RFX process management and contract negotiation.
2. Knowledge of aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) procurement.
3. Proficiency in procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba) and data analytics platforms.
4. Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and their impact on procurement processes.

Certifications :

1. CPSM, CPM, or similar supply chain certifications are preferred.
