Job Description

We currently have an opening for a Junior Environmental Scientist on our Geosciences team in our Calgary office.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participating actively in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the team.
  • Communicating and coordinating with contractors.
  • Executing field programs, including collecting and analyzing field data from soil, surface and groundwater, water supply well drilling, borehole logging, and hydraulic well tests.
  • Evaluating data and technical reporting of:
    • Groundwater monitoring;
    • Aquifer testing;
    • Soil sampling;
    • Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Supporting project managers, including developing work plans and project scheduling.
Job Requirements

What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate (or graduate) degree in geology, geoscience, or environmental science.
  • Relevant work experience in a related field; consulting experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with technical and non‑technical clients and contractors.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working safely in remote areas and extreme environments and weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with Alberta regulations and guidelines.
  • Eligibility to become registered with a professional association (e.g., P. Geo., P. Ag.) is an asset.
