Reporting to the Casino Shift Manager and under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, this position focuses on delivering customer service excellence and convenient Food & Beverage services by preparing beverages for Casino guests in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional hospitality with personalized service and attentive treatment to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable.
- Receiving drink orders.
- Preparing mixed drinks, bottled/draught beer, wine, and other beverages.
- Maintaining bar inventory and liquor storage.
- Cleaning and maintaining bar glassware, surfaces, tools, and equipment.
- Serving food/snacks to customers.
- Accepting payment from patrons.
- Adhering to responsible service of alcohol guidelines.
- Handling other related tasks as required to serve bar patrons.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidates are subject to a background check and must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) / Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
- The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming is visible is 19 years.
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
- Some SIGA locations operate in high sensory environments, which may include exposure to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA complies with all occupational health and safety regulations to mitigate adverse effects.
- Employees must adhere to the Drug & Alcohol policy to ensure safety for all.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SLGA, Anti-Money Laundering laws, and FINTRAC regulations, is mandatory.
Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of a recognized Bartending course is preferred.
- Completion of Responsible Service of Alcohol Program is preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in customer service handling diverse situations and personalities.
- Previous bartending experience in the restaurant and/or gaming industry is preferred.
