In partnership with CPA Alberta, AiLA is seeking a Financial Literacy Content Developer and Presenter to develop content and present instructional material for a series of three to five short videos, each approximately three to five minutes in length, focused on financial literacy for autistic adults. The series will address essential household finance topics such as budgeting, saving strategies, and engaging with the financial sector, with particular attention to the needs of autistic individuals from low-income backgrounds. All videos will be professionally produced and made available on AiLA’s website and/or YouTube channel.
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with AiLA’s volunteer team, as well as a coaching professional specializing in autism-related challenges, who will provide guidance on employing an autism-friendly teaching approach.
Videos will utilize a question-and-answer format, in which the presenter responds to relevant inquiries from the autistic community and may incorporate visual aids such as graphics or PowerPoint slides to support the instructional content. Familiarity with a variety of learning techniques to promote skill development is expected; additional expertise and support will be provided by the volunteer team and coaching professional as required.
Time spent developing this material may qualify as verifiable continuing professional development (CPD).
