Job summary
A child care center in Alberta is seeking a dedicated professional to develop and implement child-care programs that foster children's development. The ideal candidate will have an Early Childhood Education Certificate and experience engaging children in creative activities. This is a permanent position requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents and staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 months of experience in child care.
- Understanding of childhood emotional and social development.
- Ability to engage children in creative activities.

Education
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest

- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
