Overview

Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job starts as soon as possible.

Language requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: RaSi… lives in Westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, with schools and parks nearby. Public transit is accessible (bus #161, #104 or #138) with the major intersection Fleet Rd and Cavendish Blvd nearby.

Responsibilities

1. Care for two children: a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They do not include care for the children’s mother.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Bathe and dress the children until they are old enough to do these tasks unassisted.
6. Lay the youngest child down for nap time.
7. General housework including laundry and some ironing.
8. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications

1. Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
