Job summary
A prestigious hotel in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead a talented kitchen team. The role involves maintaining high standards of food preparation, training staff, and ensuring excellent guest experiences. The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of cooking experience in upscale environments and expertise in a 5-star hotel or top-tier restaurant. Qualifications
- Minimum of six to eight years cooking experience in a high-end environment.
- Experience in a 5-star international hotel and/or top caliber restaurant.
- A minimum of two years previous as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef.
- BC Food Safe Certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and friendly work environment while knowing menus and guest preferences.
- Train and educate employees on culinary standards and techniques.
- Monitor performance levels of team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the kitchen.
- Assist in creating weekly work schedules.
