Job description

Lead with Excellence in the Heart of Toronto

Step into a dynamic leadership role at one of Hilton’s flagship Canadian properties. The Hilton Toronto is a cornerstone of hospitality in the city’s vibrant downtown core—just steps from the CN Tower, Union Station, and the Eaton Centre. With over 600 rooms, celebrated dining at Frenchy Bar et Brasserie, and both indoor and outdoor pools, this hotel blends elevated guest experiences with high-volume city energy. We’re seeking a strong operational leader to help drive service excellence, team culture, and business performance at this iconic urban property.

What will I be doing?

As a member of the Executive Team, the Hotel Manager will oversee the daily operation of the hotel, providing leadership in the hotel’s ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. They will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel to ensure it achieves and exceeds its financial goals and guest satisfaction targets, while maintaining high employee engagement and community involvement.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Area General Manager to manage all property issues.
  • Leading hotel operations including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, service initiatives, performance management, policy compliance, guest inquiries, and hotel meetings.
  • Overseeing large projects such as renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and brand updates.
  • Developing achievable hotel budgets and strategic goals.
  • Providing leadership to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded and guest satisfaction remains a priority.
  • Controlling costs across departments and analyzing results to address issues.
  • Responding to audits to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coordinating service delivery to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Implementing new customer service strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel and company standards.
  • Managing and developing department heads for career progression and succession planning.
  • Fostering communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Responding to guest feedback to enhance satisfaction.
  • Conducting regular team meetings and briefings.
  • Building relationships with community leaders and other hotels.
  • Promoting a positive and passionate hospitality environment.

What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in Hotel Manager, AGM, or Executive role at a large or boutique hotel with luxury standards.
  • Experience managing a property with revenue of $30M or more.
  • Experience managing a Four Diamond Plus property.
  • Strong Union partnership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Performance-driven with leadership skills to attract, motivate, and lead teams to excellent guest and employee satisfaction. Renovation and F&B experience are preferred, along with Hilton brand experience and a keen eye for detail.

Necessary qualifications include:

  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of hotel management experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen, especially in Rooms and F&B management.
  • Budgeting, revenue management, and forecasting skills.
  • Leadership, communication, resilience, and adaptability.

It would be advantageous to demonstrate knowledge of hotel property management systems and previous similar role experience.
