Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all operations for mainland Nova Scotia, ensuring efficient, safe, and high‑quality performance across all projects and services.
  • Represent the company in their Nova Scotia market through strong client, supplier, and industry relationships.
  • Identify, pursue, and support new business opportunities, tenders, and proposals.
  • Support executive leadership in strategic planning, regional growth, and corporate initiatives.
  • Promote the team’s culture and atmosphere, ensuring a positive and collaborative workplace.
  • Oversee and, when needed, directly manage projects from planning through close‑out.
  • Build and monitor project schedules; manage manpower, resources, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure quality control, compliance with drawings and specifications, and adherence to the company’s safety standards.
  • Complete and review pricing, estimating, tenders, and change notices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, COR forms, inspections, and site correspondence.
  • Manage regional financial performance, including overhead, project budgets, service revenue, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Complete or oversee monthly progress billings, project cost updates, weekly payroll entries, and service billings.
  • Ensure timely communication of costs, changes, and financial data to accounting and administration.
  • Oversee the scheduling and deployment of staff, equipment, and resources across multiple projects.
  • Ensure all company vehicles, equipment, facilities, and offices are maintained.
  • Champion safety across all regional operations and ensure compliance with the team’s Safety Program and COR standards.
  • Conduct site visits, safety follow‑ups, and quality assurance checks.
  • Ensure deficiencies and corrective actions are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Nova Scotia team, supporting hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management in conjunction with various counterparts from head office.
  • Foster a positive, team‑focused culture aligned with company values.
  • Ensure the region remains a workplace where employees feel supported, valued, and engaged.
  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and exceptional service.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships to support repeat business and regional growth.
  • Assist with estimating, tender review, pricing, and business development initiatives.
  • Attend quarterly meetings at Corporate Headquarters in Ontario.
  • Attend virtual meetings with the Executive Leadership team as required.
