Job Overview
F&B Banquets & Events Manager at Pursuit Collection in Jasper, AB. Full‑time. Responsible for driving efficiency, reducing labor costs, ensuring team readiness through training, and creating exceptional guest experiences across Jasper Lodging properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary liaison with Reservations, Sales, and GEM Teams to ensure seasonal readiness for events.
- Onsite daily support for F&B team: room setup, event execution, training, and assistance with in‑house events.
- Develop and implement training materials (Banquet Training Manual, checklists, SOPs) to standardize processes.
- Review and oversee regional BEOs, coordinate with LOB managers to align schedules and labor models to optimize staffing and produce schedules achieving budgeted labor targets.
- Monitor and communicate last‑minute event changes in Delphi to relevant teams.
- Lead training of new employees for event execution and service.
- Manage OpenTable reservations, ensuring restaurant spaces are optimized.
- Oversee F&B readiness and client satisfaction during events, including room setups, event management, and post‑event billing accuracy.
- Coordinate packaged F&B contracts with C‑RES, Travel Trade Sales Teams, and other key groups.
- Verify actual sales versus bookings using Delphi and Maestro to ensure financial accuracy.
- Maintain financial records and reconcile float balances; prepare financial reports to Accounting team.
- Facilitate new hire announcements, staff lunches, and community events; support occasional administrative tasks.
- Coordinate community events as part of key Jasper programming (Jasper in January, Pride, Taste of Spring, Dark Sky). Create revenue‑driven events that appeal to tourists and locals.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3‑5 years of leadership experience in Food & Beverage, ideally multi‑unit or event‑specific.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex operations while reducing labor costs and driving strong financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of current Food & Beverage trends and exceptional organizational and training skills.
- Experience creating best‑in‑class training materials and onboarding programs.
- Proficiency in Delphi, OpenTable, financial reconciliation, and ability to multitask in fast‑paced hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive team culture.
- Proactive mindset and commitment to upholding hospitality standards and guest experience.
