Job summary

A local trucking company in Northeastern Ontario is hiring a full-time Truck Driver. Responsibilities include operating trucks, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring the safety of cargo. Applicants must hold a valid AZ class license and be able to lift up to 100 lbs. This position requires willingness to travel for extended periods.   • Location: Sudbury, ON P3E 5H5
  • Salary: 20 bi-weekly / 40 to 70 hours per week + $1.00 commission per mile; Minimum wage is guaranteed
  • Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

  • AZ class license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
