Job summary

A leading aerospace company located in Dorval, Quebec is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for New Product Development. The successful candidate will handle procurement activities, manage contracts with suppliers, and support sourcing strategies. Ideal applicants possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, with 8 to 12 years of aerospace industry experience, strong analytical and communication skills in both French and English. This position promotes hybrid work, enhancing employee flexibility and well-being.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience in contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • Experience on development programs is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities.
  • Act as a project manager to ensure all procurement activities are executed as planned.
  • Represent Procurement with the integrated product development team.
  • Track changes through the management process until implementation.
  • Responsible for contractual negotiations with external suppliers.
  • Ensure correct project tracking and visibility from suppliers.
  • Support Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to the team agents.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities of the various product development phases.
  • Act as a project manager to ensure all procurement related activities are executed as per plan.
  • Represent Procurement with the various integrated product development team.
  • Track changes through the management process up to the point of implementation.
  • Be responsible for contractual negotiations, resulting from product ranges, with external suppliers.
  • Ensure that correct project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers for Procurement and other business unit functions.
  • Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies for the development programs and draft commercial agreements with the suppliers.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to the agents of the team.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.
  • You have five (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • You possess experience in contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • You have experience on development programs (an asset).
  • You possess technical knowledge (an asset).
  • You have strong analytical skills.
  • You possess strong communication skills (French and English).
