In your role as a Solution Architect, you make the impact we have on our customers measurable. You work for leading brands within Valtech and feel at home in a challenging, international environment in which you collaborate with other experts and support them.

You will be an active member on client project teams, playing a hands-on role in producing client solutions. You will be encouraged to develop your skills, share knowledge with team members and peers, and lead project streams. Your contribution relies on the skills and responsibilities you bring to each project.

A successful Solution Architect is highly adaptable, shows strong initiative, can work independently, is driven to grow professionally, and is energized by teamwork. This position requires a focus on client success, client-facing skills, and a strong understanding of the project and software development lifecycles. You must be self-motivated and pride yourself on delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Role responsibilities

• SME in Cloud Native & Headless Architecture to design, develop, and deploy applications.
• Lead and guide teams on commerce technologies, e.g., Shopify / Adobe Commerce development, deployment, frontend, and backend integration.
• Estimate Epics and Stories, identify dependencies & risks.
• Provide enterprise solutions considering development costs, security, performance, and operations.
• Understand Cloud design patterns and operations, with hands-on ability to implement best practices and suggest improvements.
• Make innovative technical decisions and analyze business/technical issues.
• Act as a sales engineer for new projects and existing accounts, assessing requests and proposing solutions.
• Provide effort estimates and solution approaches for sales scenarios.
• Position solutions to business stakeholders.
• Lead development, design, and build processes to ensure on-budget, on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Manage client communications, expectations, and scope.
• Participate in requirements analysis, documentation, and acceptance criteria development.
• Serve as a senior domain expert, working toward industry visibility.
• Collaborate with project managers to build plans and timelines.
• Lead technical development within teams.
• Contribute to delivery excellence, team happiness, and client satisfaction processes.
• Mentor and coach Leads and Senior Developers.
• Maintain a positive, supportive team environment.

Must have qualifications

To be considered, you must meet these essential qualifications:

• Client-facing experience.
• Strong communication skills, including documentation and leading client sessions.
• Ability to sell technical concepts and capabilities to stakeholders.
• Technical architecture expertise, especially in Shopify and/or Adobe Commerce.

Nice to have qualifications

• Agency experience.
• Application lifecycle management/DevOps knowledge.
• Experience with ALM tools (Jira, TeamCity, TFS, Git, etc.).
• Knowledge of agile principles and frameworks.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks.
• Experience integrating ERPs with commerce platforms (SAP, D365, Netsuite, etc.).
• Knowledge of middleware/iPaaS solutions (Jitterbit, Boomi, etc.).
• Experience with Digital Experience Platforms like Optimizely, Adobe Experience Manager.
