About the Role:
The Recipient Experience team makes sending to a recipient anywhere in the world simple and safe, so your money reaches the right person without errors or delays. As a part of this team, you will be focused on stewarding the experience of the disbursement of funds to recipients around the globe. As a Senior SDE on a front-end leaning, full-stack team, you will solve technical challenges to improve the recipient experience, partnering with several teams across the company. This role is hybrid.
You Will:
- Lead the technical strategy and systems of the Recipient Experience team.
- Lead the design and implementation of frontend components and features using modern frameworks and web components like React or Angular
- Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Drive engineering excellence by setting high engineering standards and bringing consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
- Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires.
- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.
- Report to the Engineering Manager of the Money Movement Experience team.
You Have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a team environment
- Experience as a lead, working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes and delight users both internally and externally
- Experience mentoring and growing other engineers
- Experience with CI/CD and advanced deployment strategies
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $148,000-$180,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
