Senior Litigation Law ClerkOur client is seeking a legal professional with 10+ years of civil litigation clerk, with a focus in constructionDuties- Preparing and executing court filings
- Accurately preparing legal documents and correspondence with minimal direction;
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence;
- Monitoring and calendarizing activities/deadlines and liaising with necessary internal and external parties regarding same;
- Monitoring emails and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner under the direction of a senior professional or partner;
- Maintaining, organizing, and updating the litigation department’s docket system of due dates for action and follow up; and
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma or certificate as either a legal assistant, law clerk or paralegal;
- 10+ years of civil litigation experience with focus in construction
- Aptitude in Adobe and the Microsoft Suite is required;
- Experience in intellectual property an asset;
- A high degree of accuracy;
- Professional oral and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills;
- The ability to coordinate and calendarize multiple deadlines, schedules and workflows;
- Strong proofreading skills;
- The ability to work alone and in a team environment;
- The ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment; and
- Bilingualism in both French and English would be an asset.
