Job description

Are you enthusiastic about empowering and influencing the Best Buy business by integrating applications and automating business processes?

As a SailPoint developer, you will support the day‑to‑day operations and deployment for our SailPoint infrastructure that is part of our provisioning and identity access management product suite.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

Apply now and grow your career with our technology team as a SailPoint developer.

What you’ll do as a SailPoint developer:
  • Develop SailPoint components—rules, workflows, forms, connectors, and customizations—to support joiner/mover/leaver flows, birthright access, and access requests/approvals
  • Build and maintain integrations with directories, business applications, and file‑based feeds with strong error handling, retries, and reconciliation
  • Configure and optimize provisioning and governance features such as roles/entitlements, access profiles, SoD policies, certification campaigns, and identity correlation/aggregation
  • Use Git and Azure DevOps to version, test, and promote changes across environments with proper change management and rollback plans
  • Improve reliability by implementing monitoring, alerts, and runbooks, and by driving incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and post‑incident improvements
  • Implement SOX/PCI and internal security controls and provide audit documentation.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation (developer guides, API specs, runbooks) and share knowledge with partners and teammates
  • Partner with HR, Security, End User Services, and application owners on cutovers, certificate/key renewals, and staged rollouts
  • Drive continuous improvements in performance, data quality, access cleanup, and technical debt reduction
  • Stabilize and enhance non‑production environments to support roadmap initiatives and accelerate integrations
  • Advance key integrations such as Entra ID ↔ SailPoint, CyberArk ↔ SailPoint, and Salesforce ↔ SailPoint to streamline provisioning
  • Collaborate in an Agile team using Azure DevOps, participate in IAM on‑call rotations, and document releases with clear versioning and rollback steps
What we’re looking for:
  • 2–4+ years of hands‑on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ 8.x in production environments, including Java/Beanshell rules, workflows, task definitions, forms, roles, certifications, and custom connectors
  • Proficiency in Java (IIQ) or JavaScript/Velocity/Transforms (IDN), plus strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with at least two major systems such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory/LDAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday, CyberArk, etc.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps (or equivalent), including environment promotions and change control
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts: identity lifecycle, RBAC/ABAC, SoD, least privilege, recertifications, and access modeling
  • Excellent problem‑solving and system design skills, with the ability to turn business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
  • SailPoint ISC Engineer Certification is a strong asset
Why you’ll love it here:
  • Employee discounts on awesome tech from day one
  • Flexible health benefits and wellness program
  • TFSA and RRSP programs
  • 100% matched company pension plan
  • Training programs to build new and transferable skills
