RT Level II Technician
General Summary
The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) technician will independently perform inspections using various NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions according to specific written criteria. The technician will interpret indications, report results per company standards, and communicate processes, procedures, and results to customers.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following safety standards and regulations, and alert others to potential hazards.
- Perform assigned duties in line with TEAM's Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
- Assist the Senior Technician and instruct apprentice personnel on the job.
- Study to obtain NDT certifications while gaining hands-on experience in various methods.
- Perform duties assigned by the Senior Technician.
- Supervise apprentice personnel as needed.
- Maintain NDT certification.
- Conduct NDT inspections for which certified.
- Interpret and report inspection results, maintaining documentation of activities.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic math.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.
- Previous certification to Level II in at least one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.
- Travel requirement: 0-75%.
- Ability to handle chemicals safely.
- Ability to follow instructions.
Work Conditions
- Position based at a branch or site location.
- Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in plant environments.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and clients.
- Work around machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must wear safety equipment as required.
- Travel between multiple job sites and tolerate climate changes.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Walk and climb, except during non-field duties.

- Ability to navigate refinery or plant environments, including ladders and stairwells.
