Job Summary

Rockland Scientific is seeking a skilled Quality Control & Testing Specialist to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a technologist or engineer with strong experience in software and electronics, as well as a passion for ensuring high‑quality, reliable products. The Quality Control & Testing Specialist will play a key role in understanding how our products function, designing effective testing plans and equipment, and supporting continuous improvement across our engineering processes.

Position Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree or technologist diploma in related engineering or technologist professions.
  • At least 3 years of experience in design, testing, validation, and maintenance of embedded systems (including microcontrollers and FPGAs).
  • Expertise with common embedded software, electronics testing equipment and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain testing systems (including software and hardware) to validate product performance and reliability.
  • Perform hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of software and hardware products.
  • Develop and document test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production team to ensure testing strategies align with product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Identify issues early in the development cycle and support resolution efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within engineering, quality control, and testing processes.
Working conditions
  • Work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Long periods of sitting down.
