Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee catering functions for internal and external clients/groups.
  • Meet with clients to determine catering requirements, floor plans, rentals, staffing for events.
  • Support team in setting up event spaces, delivering orders, serving, and taking down event spaces.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Support Manager in managing inventory and purchasing.
  • Ensure that all outside personnel such as agency waiters and bartenders meet Aramark standards and are well informed about the job we require them to do according to the functions, special events and delivery.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, responding to all inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Support Manager in onboarding new team members.
  • Oversee team member schedule.
  • Ensure adherence to all client and Aramark policies and procedures.
  • Uphold Classic Fare Catering standards through training and taking part in program updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience in catering and/or event planning environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Valid driver's license with clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Completion of Hospitality or Food and Beverage program considered an asset.
  • Experience in leadership role, either individual contributor or people manager an asset.
  • Valid Smart Serve, WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Skilled in task prioritization and time management.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

This is a part-time role.
