Overview

The Opportunity: Our Resources subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. We provide services including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning and industrial programming. This division supports industrial and mining projects from conceptual and feasibility studies to complete detailed engineering in EPCM, including closure and dismantling of mine sites. Our experts work together to meet the highest standards and innovate to exceed them. To meet growth challenges, WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team based out of any of our following offices in Canada: Halifax NS, Saskatoon SK, St. John’s NL, Sudbury ON, Timmins ON or Vancouver BC. You Will:

  • Drive resource and budget planning to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables across all disciplines for seamless execution.
  • Optimize workforce planning to ensure the right people at the right time.
  • Own project schedules and cost control, delivering accurate, timely reports.
  • Manage project changes proactively, minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency.
  • Champion HSE and quality standards, setting the bar for excellence.
  • Represent WSP with confidence in meetings, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to scope-related matters.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead or support business development, shaping winning proposals and scopes.
  • Adapt and excel with additional responsibilities as needed.

What you\'ll bring to WSP:

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering
  • Must have at least eight (8)+ years of experience in a consulting environment focused on Mining and/or Heavy Industrial clients and projects
  • Must have at least three (3) years of Project Management experience managing multidisciplinary projects
  • Ideally EIT, CET or P.Eng. designation
  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player
  • A self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities
  • Ability to easily interact with clients in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Must have a valid driving license

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $104,100 – $138,000

MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
