About the Role

On behalf of our client in the Insurance industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Program manager ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the digital transformation program in an agile methodology, including setting and overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, including identifying key objectives, milestones, and success criteria within an agile framework.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and IT teams, to understand business needs and align the digital transformation program with LOB goals by creating / establishing an environment where business and IT work hand-in-hand, and close proximity.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of digital initiatives, including technology implementation, process optimization, and change management in an agile environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the digital transformation program, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise within an agile framework.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders and provide updates on the status of the program, including key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify and implement best practices and industry standards for digital transformation within an agile methodology to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work with partnered vendors to deliver requirements provided by various stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in digital technology and recommend relevant strategies and solutions for the organization, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Act as a champion for the digital transformation program, promoting awareness and buy-in across the organization through communication, training, and support.
Your Qualifications

Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience in leading large-scale transformation initiatives within insurance or automative industries.
  • Experience with Salesforce solutions and their implementation.
  • Experience in managing IT portfolio, IT projects, resources assignments and levelling (10 – 15 years)

Key Skills :

  • Strong understanding of change management principles and practices.
  • Relevant certifications in project management, change management, or digital transformation are a plus, i.e. Excellent technical level with regards to Project Management tools & methodology (ideally with PMP / PMI).
  • Experience as a program manager or similar role, with a strong track record of successfully managing complex digital transformation initiatives within an agile framework.
  • In-depth understanding of digital technologies, processes, and best practices, including areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, enterprise applications, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Experience working with IT teams or within the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Fluent in French would be a plus.
