Job description

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and promotion of specialty financial products, including Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSPs) and Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs). In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with internal teams, distribution partners, and external stakeholders to enhance product offerings and advisor experiences. You will track market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor products to ensure a strong value proposition. This is a highly visible role that allows you to drive innovation, improve processes, and directly impact business growth while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The position offers flexibility with remote work across Canada or hybrid options in select offices.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for RDSPs and RESPs, supporting sales teams, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze competitor products, market trends, and regulatory changes, providing actionable insights to internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product success.
  • Support the development, management, and promotion of specialty products, including creating and updating promotional materials, sales concepts, and training resources.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance advisor and customer experiences, implementing tools, resources, and process improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations to educate internal teams and external advisors on product features and benefits.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve business efficiency through technical solutions.
Requirements
  • University degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a related role within financial services, including banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, or RESP promoters.
  • Direct experience with RDSPs and/or RESPs; experience with segregated fund products is an asset.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort facilitating training as a subject matter expert.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable sales strategies.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other spreadsheet, database, or presentation tools.
  • Strong understanding of competitive landscape, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • English language proficiency required for communicating across Canada; additional languages are an asset.
