Noranco Woodbridge is currently a Procurement Supervisor. The Procurement Supervisor has a wide range of responsibilities that support our manufacturing facility. Duties include managing effectively the purchasing personnel and the purchase of all raw materials, outside value add services and related supplies, supplier management, contract negotiation and product/service purchasing.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the purchase of raw materials such as aerospace related metals, plastics, complex materials, castings, tooling, and related requirements to support the manufacturing process; support Buyers with the purchase of outside processing services, hardware, and MRO items.
  • Oversee the expediting process to ensure critical delivery times to customers.
  • Obtain quotes, prepare price analysis and recommendations; negotiate price/delivery/payment terms; negotiate supplier contracts where applicable.
  • Identify and drive cost saving opportunities.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain supplier score cards, on‑time status and vendor audits.
  • Develop new suppliers as required.
  • Discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with inspection or quality control departments and take corrective action.
  • Manage, support and coach Buyers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read part drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and specialty alloys.
  • Ability to maintain minimal inventory levels while sustaining production requirements.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office and MRP/ERP software.

Working Conditions
Physical
  • Work is normally performed in an office environment, occasionally required to be on the manufacturing floor.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Use of office equipment including computers, telephones, calculators, copiers and fax machines.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety shoes, safety goggles, ear plugs, fitted dust mask, etc. as required.

Level of Education

Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field.

Designation in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
