Overview

East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. is seeking a motivated and organized Casual Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to support and lead our team.

This position works rotating days/nights - 07:30 to 19:45 and 19:30 to 07:45.

What you will work on
  • The PCC is responsible for the coordination of day to day operations and quality patient care within a designated clinical area(s).
  • This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources.
  • The PCC supervises as well as serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making, clinical assessments of patients and in the counseling and education of families.
  • Reviews, analyses and makes recommendations on the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of patient care, adequate staffing levels, and a continuous quality improvement environment.
  • Liaises with the interdisciplinary team for identification, coordination and efficient utilization of resources as well as plans for staff educational needs.
