We are a fast-growing pastry and food service business in Cambridge, Ontario. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Baker to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in creating high-quality pastry products and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of pastries to ensure our customers receive only the best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of pastry products, including croissants, danishes, tarts, and specialty desserts.
  • Follow established recipes and maintain consistency in product quality and presentation.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory of baking supplies and ingredients; assist with ordering as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to fulfill daily production targets and special orders.
  • Innovate and contribute ideas for new pastry items and seasonal specialties.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef, with a portfolio of high-quality pastry products.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, and pastry finishing.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).
Compensation
  • Hourly wage: $17.20 ~ $20.00 per hour
  • Eligibility for additional benefits may be offered based on company policy.
