Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes, following time schedules
  • Ensure students\' safety while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards
  • Maintain a clean and presentable bus interior and exterior
  • Assist with fueling the bus and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff as required
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company operating procedures
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
  • You are safety focused
  • You hold a valid minimum full G class driver's license
  • You are 21 years of age or over
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You can obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You possess solid communication skills
  • You have 2 years of experience as a school bus driver
  • English, written and spoken
Pay and Location
  • $25.00/hour
  • Charter opportunities for extra hours
  • $2,000 retention bonus received if you complete the entire school year and return the following year
  • Health benefits and Group RRSP available if you work 30+ hours per week. Benefits may include health and dental care, employee assistance program and gym membership
  • Permanent Full-Time opportunities for full-time runs at 30 hours or more per week
