Job description
Overview

POSITION TYPE PERMANENT, FULL-TIME. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Outdoor Site Maintenance will work on The Forks 52-acre site, to ensure the outdoor public spaces are clean, beautiful, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. This includes maintaining outdoor spaces, supporting with the set-up and take-down of events, reporting potential safety issues, and assisting visitors as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with year-round grounds maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, patio setup, pressure washing, pest control, trail grooming, snow clearing, and maintaining safe, slip-free walkways to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming outdoor environment.
  • Report safety hazards and maintenance issues through The Forks communication channels.
  • Monitor site supplies inventory and communicate needs to Site Supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties that include encampment cleanup, waste collection, setup and take down of events, and interacting with and assisting visitors.
Qualifications
  • Is friendly and can assist visitors in a welcoming manner.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts that will include weekends, holidays, evenings, and other shifts as required.
  • Has strong communication skills and is able to work with various teams of The Forks.
  • Has excellent time management and pays close attention to detail.
  • Is able to resolve issues quickly and independently.
  • Is able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Is capable of working outdoors, in a variety of extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold temperatures, snow, and rain.
  • Is comfortable learning how to use new tools and equipment such as skid steers, tractors, utility vehicles, trailers and Zambonis.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
