A healthcare provider in Ontario is seeking a Nursing Coordinator for the Emergency Department. This full-time, temporary role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating care, and leading staff within the emergency team. Reporting to the Manager of Emergency, the Nursing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the Emergency Department. The Coordinator oversees the care given by other professionals in the department and provides direct care as required. The Coordinator is responsible for staff scheduling, patient movement and flow, daily staffing assignments, maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for the delivery of care, and will act as a role model for staff in promoting multi-disciplinary communication, coordination of care and implementation of evidence based best practice within the critical care unit. The Coordinator will be expected to participate in corporate committees and to work collaboratively with other departments and sites within the corporation.
