Qualifications

MISTRAS Services Inc. is a leading provider of NDE, Wind and Rope Access Mechanical Services. Specializing in both traditional and advanced NDE methods, we are dedicated to delivering professional, high-quality services with a strong emphasis on safety.

We’re hiring an CGSB RT2, MT2, PT2 Technician for in and around Red Deer/Calgary, AB. This position will require frequent travelling to various client sites across the region. If you have the required qualifications, apply today! Please note posted QCCC wage within job posting is top rate, applicable union rate payable will depend on CGSB certificates held.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and accurately perform non-destructive testing (NDT) in compliance with industry standards.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment.
  • Execute tests using the appropriate NDT techniques.
  • Interpret, assess, and document test results clearly.
  • Be well-versed in the scope and limitations of your certified NDT method, and, if certified to Level II, guide and supervise Level I technicians and trainees.
  • Stay knowledgeable about relevant codes, standards, and contractual requirements governing NDT methods.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Analyze and synthesize data with precision.
  • Present numerical data in an organized and understandable manner.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Frequent kneeling, bending, crouching, and walking
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
  • CGSB certification in Radiographic Testing (RT MT2 PT2) NDE method (Level II) required.
  • Additional CGSB certifications in other NDT methods (UT/ET/VT) are an asset.
