Job summary

A leading manufacturer of motor coaches in Winnipeg is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering Technologist. This role focuses on providing technical support for coach builds, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring production accuracy. Candidates should possess a related engineering education and experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong communication skills and familiarity with CAD software are also required.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in a related engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience is required.
  • One to five years experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in transportation or automotive.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, LEAN, JIT environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist production with first and subsequent builds of new systems or revisions.
  • Provide point of use routing and assembly sequence for components.
  • Prepare design changes or revisions.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction projects.
  • Assist in audits to measure Bill of Material accuracy.
