Our client is a specialized manufacturer of PCB‑level RF/EMI shielding solutions for electronic devices across a wide range of industries. Based in Vaughan, Ontario, the company supports a global customer base and ships millions of precision parts worldwide each year.

This is a full‑time opportunity within a modern, clean, and well‑equipped manufacturing facility.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Designer & Programmer will be a key member of the production team, responsible for converting customer requirements into detailed manufacturing documentation and CNC process code. This role supports efficient, high‑quality production through strong design‑for‑manufacturing practices and close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed documentation packages to support manufacturing processes
  • Design and document jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support assembly
  • Design tooling and contribute to equipment and process improvements
  • Translate solid models into CNC process code for lasers and punch presses
  • Work closely with external vendors to support manufacturing needs
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Participate in Quality and Contract Review meetings, providing manufacturing input
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Solid understanding of precision component and sheet metal manufacturing
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing design role
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Drafting Technologist/Technician background considered an asset
Education
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
