Job Description

Our client, a thriving family‑run distribution business with a 40‑year legacy is seeking a transformative Order to Cash Manager. This is a unique opportunity to step into a strategic role, moving beyond traditional AR management to build and shape a critical function within a company undergoing significant growth and technological advancement. This position is ideal for someone ready to take a “step‑up” into management, leading a small team of 3‑4 and driving change from the ground up. You will report directly to the Head of Finance for the initial period, gaining direct mentorship and playing a pivotal role in the company’s transition to SAP.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the transformation of credit assessment and risk management processes, developing formal procedures for customer onboarding, credit review (semi‑annually or annually), and credit limit management.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day collection flow, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in the SAP S/4HANA implementation project, particularly focusing on phase one (core finance, accounting, sales basic engine) which kicks off in March.
  • Lead change within the AR team, coaching and developing subject matter experts in SAP and new processes.
  • Maximize the utilization of dunning automation solutions (e.g., invoice.com) to streamline collections and enhance team focus on strategic credit management.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales and legal departments to align on credit and collection strategies.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in credit risk management, including performing credit assessments and setting credit limits.
  • Involvement with technology, ideally SAP, or a strong aptitude and interest in learning SAP.
  • Knowledge or interest in dunning automation solutions.
  • Proven soft skills including resilience, commitment to change, patience, coaching ability, and humility.
  • Exposure to managing collections from dynamic customer sets.
  • Enough experience to understand best practices in AR and credit management.
