Overview

Design integration strategy and lead cross-functional M&A integration efforts to realize merger objectives, timelines, resource requirements, costs, and KPIs within Spectrum Health Care.

Responsibilities
  • Design Integration Strategy : Develop a clear, comprehensive integration plan aligned with merger objectives, timelines, resource requirements, costs, KPIs, and organizational context. Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to ensure alignment.
  • Create the Ultimate M&A Playbook : Architect the development and ongoing maintenance of Spectrum’s M&A integration playbooks, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged. Regularly update playbooks to address the unique requirements of each acquisition and integration.
  • Facilitate Planning and Reporting : Lead pre-close planning sessions, establish structured timelines, and provide regular updates on the integration progress to ensure transparency and accountability. Develop and manage the integration budget.
  • Lead and Manage Workstreams : Oversee key workstreams such as HR, IT, Finance, and Operations to fuel alignment and progress. Identify resource gaps, develop mitigation strategies and contingencies. Use metrics and project management tools to monitor milestones, detect delays, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Managing Stakeholder Expectations : Provide clear direction to workstream leaders, clarify priorities, and keep senior management informed on progress. Balance competing priorities, actively engage leadership and staff to foster alignment, resolve obstacles, and support effective decision-making. Maintain transparency through regular stakeholder updates.
  • Cross-Functional Involvement : Provide support for diverse company initiatives as needed, including assisting with M&A pre-close diligence, corporate development, strategic initiatives, and additional projects.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business administration or an equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to mergers and acquisitions, preferably within private equity-owned companies; experience may include leading parts of an M&A process, integration project management, consulting on M&A, or working as part of an M&A deal team, supported by hands-on operating experience in a large company
  • In-depth understanding of the M&A process, due diligence, and development of deal value creation and integration planning to deliver on integration value
  • Knowledge of homecare in Canada would be beneficial but not required
  • High level of project management experience (Project Management Professional preferred), advanced analytical know-how, and broad systems and ERP understanding, including managing complex projects
