What You’ll Do
- Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of Hydro’s ethics and compliance programs, including managing non-compliance reporting.
- Maintain and update employment-related policies including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Manage intake of complaints via the confidential reporting line and support investigation processes; ensure alignment with legislative requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices, board directives, and organizational values to foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.
- Manage conflict of interest disclosures; triage assessments and prioritize reports of non-compliance; assign to appropriate investigators.
- Engage functional teams for policy updates and delivery; provide timely reporting and status updates on ethics complaints and compliance monitoring.
- Facilitate training and workshops on ethical topics; contribute to development and review of HR and employment policies.

- Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations and reports to various levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- High integrity, initiative, positive attitude, and mutual respect; comfortable handling uncertain situations.
What You’ll Need
- Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Law Degree or related field. A Master’s program is an asset.
- Professional designation(s) such as CHRP, Law Society membership, or other compliance-related credentials are assets.
- 7 to 10 years’ progressive experience in investigations, ethics, compliance, employment law, employee relations or risk management, with 5+ years’ leadership experience including formal investigation training.
- Some travel or schedule flexibility may be required.
