Overview

In this role, you will maintain related equipment in an advanced Class 4 wastewater treatment facility. This position will require you to oversee, operate, inspect, maintain and carry out repairs on complex and advanced water and wastewater system equipment, such as mechanical and electrical valves, centrifugal pumps, chemical systems, and process control equipment. In carrying out these duties at the various water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, you will have the opportunity to work independently or when required, to work with a dedicated and skilled team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee, operate, inspect, maintain and carry out repairs on complex and advanced water and wastewater system equipment, including mechanical and electrical valves, centrifugal pumps, chemical systems, and process control equipment.
  • Work independently or with a dedicated and skilled team as required at various water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Physical and Work Environment
  • Work in all weather conditions and equipped with personal protective equipment.
  • Work in confined spaces, dirty and/or noisy environments.
  • Physical dexterity requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting (floor to waist, waist to shoulder), kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, stair climbing, ladder climbing, pushing, pulling, carrying, handling, fingering, reaching forward, and reaching overhead.
