What you will do

The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and oversees the activities of the maintenance team to ensure the operational readiness of all assets of Miller Environmental. This role involves planning maintenance schedules, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely. Work will be split between our processing facility in the RM of Montcalm and Winnipeg as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute routine maintenance on process equipment, mobile equipment, utilities, critical systems, buildings, and yard areas.
  • Arrange preventive maintenance, repairs, and other tasks assigned by the Asset and Maintenance Manager.
  • Supervise and verify that work is performed effectively, ensuring property operators are satisfied with the service, and report opportunities for improvement to the Asset and Maintenance Manager.
  • Provide technical support to Operations and other organizational teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide the maintenance team.
  • Assist the Safety Department with safety equipment inspections and related projects.
  • Coordinate trades, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality work.
  • Implement measures to maintain the highest standards of maintenance.
  • Assist the Asset and Maintenance Manager in coordinating and supervising projects, including the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, as well as modifications and upgrades to equipment and facilities.
  • Support the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator and Operation Supervisors as needed.
What you will need
  • C.E.T or Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an industrial work environment as a Maintenance Supervisor/Coordinator/Team Leader.
  • Strong and practical proven knowledge of various process equipment and building systems.
  • Capable of identifying key issues and creatively and strategically overcoming internal challenges or obstacles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses a clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures, and other operational issues faced by the organization.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently, taking charge when necessary.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and activities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Positive, energetic individuals with a “can‑do” and “easy‑going” attitude.
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge in engineering software, such as CAD/Solid Edge/Solid Works, is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to travel between facilities and vendors/contractors if needed.
