Who You Will Work With:

The vacant Leader, Enterprise Architecture role will report to the Head, Enabling Tech. The Leader, Enterprise Architecture is a visionary technology leader responsible for designing and evolving Interac’s enterprise‑wide architecture. This role ensures that our architecture remains agile, scalable, modern, and aligned with business strategy, as the organization grows and the industry evolves.

The Leader, Enterprise Architecture will lead a team of Enterprise Architects to develop innovative, secure, and forward‑thinking architecture capabilities that accelerate transformation, enhance customer experiences, and enable strategic growth. This role will serve as a trusted advisory to the Technology & Operations Senior Leadership team (SLT), offering guidance on how technology can create competitive advantage, mitigate risks, and unlock opportunities.

What You Will Do:
  • Leading the evolution of Interac’s enterprise architecture to align with long‑term business and technology objectives.

  • Providing architectural oversight and direction across major initiatives to ensure cohesion, quality, and strategic alignment.

  • Advising the Technology & Operations SLT on leveraging emerging technologies, architecture patterns, and industry trends for competitive advantage.

  • Championing modernization, innovation, and adoption of new approaches, tools, and methodologies across Interac.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Enterprise Architects.

  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning across the architecture team, and across the organization.

  • Partnering with Products, Platforms, and Practices to translate strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps.

  • Ensuring architectural alignment across squads, platforms, and programs.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in architecture roles, including leadership or people‑management responsibilities.

  • A deep experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and technology strategy.

  • A strong understanding of modern technology stacks such as distributed systems, cloud, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and security best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams and influence decision‑making at senior levels.

  • Exceptional communication skills to engage technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • An ability to translate business direction into technical strategy and long‑term architectural plans.

  • Experience leading architecture through major enterprise programs, including modernization, migration, or platform transformation initiatives.

  • A forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for innovation.

  • Architecture certifications or cloud certifications are considered an asset.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full‑time capacity.
