Overview

Compensation : $21 – $28 / hour (full-time / permanent)

When disasters happen, Remediation Technician Leads at On Side are truly on ‘your side’. Asbestos and mould can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technician Leads can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site
  • Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials
  • Leading the on-site team and ensuring all crew members are following the remediation plan
  • Maintaining clear and professional communication with the homeowner and Project Manager
What you bring
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in restoration (remediation or water damage)
  • Ability to perform work following procedure and legislation
  • Clean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)
  • Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work
  • Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
  • Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
  • Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
  • A safety-first mindset
  • Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
  • Ability to communicate in English
Other things that will contribute to your success but isn’t required
  • Asbestos remediation ticket
  • A background in demolition
  • Construction experience
Of Note

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24 / 7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
