Overview

Lead Developer – 1 Year Contract (Onsite with Client)

Envision 360 is hiring on behalf of a midsize client in the construction industry who is expanding their in-house development team. They are seeking a Lead Developer on a 1-year contract to help drive several digital initiatives. This position reports directly to the client’s technology leadership. You’ll split time between their Toronto office (3 days per week) and remote work (2 days per week).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new web and platform features that support project operations and client-facing tools
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate workflows into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor members of the client’s in-house development team
• Oversee integrations, security, and performance
• Contribute to initiatives exploring AI / ML to streamline operations and improve reporting

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in full-stack or web application development
• Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, or similar frameworks
• Experience with APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure)
• Previous experience in industries with operational complexity (construction, manufacturing, logistics, etc.) is an asset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a client-facing role
• 1-year contract, reporting to the client’s in-house technology leadership
• Competitive contract rate
• Hybrid model : 3 days onsite at client’s Toronto office, 2 days remote
