ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitters A to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, AB.

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
• Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs
• Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines
• Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
• Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
• Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (40,000 & 60,000 BTU)
• Occasionally install tiles around bathtubs or sinks
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
• Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements
• Supervisory roles and responsibilities may also be delegated as and when necessary, based on customer requirements and operational necessity

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman Plumber Certificate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Class A Gas Fitter License
• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check
• Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong commitment to safety
