Our client, a food manufacturer and distributor of consciously sourced or produced products, is searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator.

The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring efficient operations within the organization's supply chain. The role and responsibilities will encompass various aspects of inventory control, data management, and coordination with multiple teams.

Responsibilities
  • Credit Return Management : Process and oversee credit returns in compliance with company policies. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of returns.
  • Code Management : Manage inventory data and coding systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. Regularly update and maintain databases related to inventory tracking and management.
  • Internal Product Movement : Facilitate the smooth movement of inventory into meat production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with production teams to optimize internal inventory flow.
  • Forklift Proficiency : Operate forklift equipment proficiently and safely for inventory movement when required.
  • Pull Sheets : Generate and manage pull sheets for afternoon inventory requirements, ensuring accurate fulfillment. Compile and manage lists for the movement of fresh and freezer inventory according to operational requirements.
  • Managing Short Dated Inventory : Monitor and manage inventory with approaching expiration dates to minimize waste and maximize utilization.
  • Product tracking : Implement warehouse management traceability and tracking within our warehouse software system, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Counting : Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. Lead quarterly physical inventory processes and conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement : Ensure accuracy of inventory descriptions and specifications, exploring automation opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Invoice Exceptions : Monitor and address inventory-related invoice exceptions, collaborating with relevant departments for resolution.
Desired Profile
  • 2 years of proven experience in inventory control or related field
  • Proficiency in inventory management software / systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Understanding of inventory processes, accounting for inventory, cycle counting procedures
  • Should be comfortable working in the freezer, when required
