Overview

Matchbox Consulting Group is currently searching for a General Superintendent for a our client, a major general contractor based in the Lower Mainland. This company is seeking a seasoned construction professional to oversee multiple TI projects in the region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Simultaneously managing and supervising multiple ICI construction sites.
• Providing supervision of construction staff and sub-trade staff and providing safety leadership.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and site superintendents.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Contributing to a culture of professional project delivery by establishing behavioural guidelines, best practices, and a system of accountability.

Experience and Knowledge

• Demonstrated progressive experience in general contracting as a superintendent or senior superintendent in ICI or tenant improvement construction.
• Trade background in carpentry and / or Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Well-developed and adaptable communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
