Position Description

At CGI we are looking for the creative and passionate Full Stack. Net Developer with a proven background in Java .Net and Python. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment and be able to work directly with clients and other CGI team members so communication and presentation skills are equally as key as the proven technical excellence that this candidate must demonstrate.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Write great quality code with a drive for automated testing and validation based on the You Build You Own (YBYO) model.
• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of full stack web, mobile applications and API's using C# /.NET Core, and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React) on an Azure cloud platform.
• Work with business partners, architects and other groups to identify diverse technical and functional needs of systems based on priority.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX/UI designers, and QA, to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Drive technical innovation by recommending and implementing new tools, frameworks, and processes.
• Create & review programming documentation and recommend changes in development, maintenance and application standards.
• In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with financial partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Minimum of 6+ years of software development experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience: Java, .NET, Python
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with databases and data modeling / design (SQL and NoSQL)
• Minimum of 2 years in full stack development for cloud solutions (Azure or AWS) – Azure preferred
• Experience or exposure in JavaScript development frameworks and tooling: Angular, React, VueJS, & Gulp, Grunt, Yarn, etc.

Nice to Have

• Experience with UI/UX development & design systems: CSS, Web Components, Less, Sass
• Experience or exposure in big data and event streaming technologies: Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience or exposure in cloud technologies: Azure (big plus), AWS, OpenStack, etc.
• Experience or exposure with container and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience or exposure in build and CI/CD technologies: GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus or Sonar
• Exposure to Agile development concepts
• Exposure quality assurance technologies: ATDD, Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, NUnit, SoapUI or Postman
• Exposure of data management methodologies
• Exposure to serverless architectures and computing concepts
