Qualifications

Job description

Victor Energy Ltd is a powerline contractor with over 30 years experience building Alberta's electrical infrastructure, recently acquired by Java Holdings Ltd. Java staff have over 50 years of experience building some of Canada's largest electrical infrastructure projects. We are seeking a qualified Fuel Truck Driver.

Responsibilities
  • Completion pre and post trip inspections, logbook, and any required paperwork
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of fuel from distribution centers to various locations
  • Will be responsible for hauling fuel with a F550 truck
Requirements
  • Valid Class 3 Driver's License, with minimum five years' driving off road and tanker/fluid experience
  • Clean driver's abstract with no suspensions
  • Knowledge of local roads must have
  • Able to lift 50lbs and drive on remote roads in winter conditions
  • WHMIS Certificate, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate - or willingness to obtain
  • TDG Certificate
  • First Aid Certification - or willingness to obtain
  • Being able to complete your duties in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Candidate will need to have a strong safety awareness and low risk tolerance and be willing to learn and follow established procedures
  • Able to work away from home for a 21 & 7 shift
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
