Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Alberta, Canada is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide production and engineering support for backend equipment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and preferably at least one year of relevant experience. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and involvement in equipment improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing production and engineering support to all backend equipment-related activities
  • Set up conversions of backend equipment for production utilization
  • Perform timely set-up, repairs and maintenance of backend equipment such as laser mark, vision scanner and Tape & Reel platform
  • Troubleshoot equipment-related issues and minimize equipment downtime
  • Perform routine equipment preventive maintenance / calibration on timely basis
  • Assist in implementing equipment improvement projects
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Preferably with minimum 1 year relevant experience in semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Good communications and analytical problem solving skills
